Immigrants whose applications for asylum are turned down are deported immediately. Rebeca García Ibáñez, a Peruvian immigrant and her two daughters who had been living in California for three years were given just 48 hours to leave the country (leaving behind Rebeca's partner and father to her children). In Europe, 1000 immigrants a day recieve the same news.
